Premier League searching for head of content within digital team
English soccer’s top-tier Premier League is searching for a head of content to be part of its digital division.
The newly-created role will report to the Premier League’s head of digital and is to be based at the league’s offices in central London.
The head of content will be responsible for creating content across the Premier League’s website, mobile app and social media channels, with the content designed to appeal to the league’s international fan base and complement content published by clubs.
The Premier League said that the individual will work closely with the editor and communications department, other internal departments, external stakeholders and representatives at the league’s clubs to identify opportunities, develop clear briefs and oversee delivery of exceptional content across the Premier League’s digital portfolio.

The Premier League is looking for candidates with a least 10 years' experience in commissioning, creating and editing digital content, along with “proven experience of managing a result based content strategy, strong organisational skills, understanding of rights frameworks, copyright and their implications for creating content, plus experience of playing Fantasy Premier League.”
The Premier League’s main English-language social media channels are hugely popular as around 17 million people follow its Twitter page and 41 million have liked its profile on Facebook.
