Spanish Olympic Committee partners with Podoactiva ahead of Tokyo 2020
COE, the Spanish Olympic Committee, has signed a partnership with Podoactiva, the Spanish technology-based podiatry and biomechanics company, in a deal which runs until after the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Under the agreement, Podoactiva will become the official supplier of chiropody and biomechanics of COE until 31 December, 2020.
Spanish athletes will benefit from the use of the company’s technology and services and Podoactiva will carry out biomechanical studies of the march and footprint of Spain’s Olympic athletes, among other services.
Podoactiva will be part of Spain’s delegation for the Olympics in Tokyo to monitor the footprints of its athletes participating in the games.
Additionally, the two parties will also promote joint research between both entities for the “care, performance and prevention of the health of Olympic athletes”.
Podoactiva joins the likes of Sanitas, Joma, Toyota, Telefonica and Bridgestone among COE's list of commercial partners ahead of the Olympics.
