Another senior executive departs Sky Deutschland
Sky Deutschland, the German pay-television giant, has lost its third senior executive in as many weeks, with Sebastian Hauptmann, executive vice-president of operations and digital innovation, leaving the broadcaster.
Sky said Hauptmann, who had spent almost a decade at the broadcaster, had left "by mutual agreement." He had been in the role since 2015.
In an email to staff, Carsten Schmidt, chief executive of Sky Deutschland, said that in a corporate organisation, "we regularly review and streamline our structures to be even more agile and flexible."
Late last month, Roman Steuer, executive vice-president of sports, and Ralph Fürther, senior vice-president of communications, both left the broadcaster.
Steuer had been managing director of Sky Deutschland's Sky Sport News HD channel, and in August 2015 was promoted to head of sport, succeeding Schmidt, when the latter was appointed chief executive.
